Soothe & Calm Baby Balm

I just want to say that the nappy cream I had ages ago that I tested has been brilliant - it's worked wonders on Lewis' sore, blistered bum.  It was the Organic Babies one.  Even the girl at the nursery said how fab it was when I took it in with Lewis - so much so that she'd told other parents about it!

Review; Green People Organic Babies Nappy Cream Baby Balm

It's a really good idea to try to use organic products on babies. I don’t think I need to explain again why in detail, but basically, less nasty chemicals makes for healthier babies. This is especially pertinent for sore bottoms. If you are one of (what I would suggest is the majority of mums) who use disposable nappies you are already exposing your baby’s bottom to some horrible chemicals. The crystal gel in some nappies is particularly nasty, or so I am told. Therefore, one way you might think about mediating this is to use some nice organic nappy cream.

In the past, I have used Calendula cream from Neals Yard for this purpose. That was until I got sent this lovely nappy balm. We use lots of Green People products, so I have no idea why I didn’t think to use this before. Organic babies nappy balm uses Calendula, Hemp and Chamomile. That's a lovely combination, even if you just think of the flowers. It's also 100% natural and repels water.

It smells nice, has a good consistency and a little bit goes a long way (If you need to justify the price at £9.25 for 40 ml). This has become a change bag essential for us, and it's something that I will be buying all my friends who about to become new mums as I think it would be a very thoughtful present. What's more, if you don't trust me its won two consumer awards for the best nappy cream!

"Brilliant product!"

This cream arrived whilst my 10 month old daughter had just got over a tummy bug and had a very sore bum. I was struggling with the regular nappy creams as they are very thick and difficult to smother on. This cream is so easy to apply, smells lovely and had an amazing affect on the nappy rash within a few hours! It is fabulous and I will definately be purchasing this item when I've run out!! "Excellent alternative"

I believe this product a brilliant alternantive to the the major nappy cream brands!

I found that a very little goes a long way and it is much less thicker than other creams which means it doesn't feel as though you are smothering your baby's skin. Plus the added bonus is it is all organic so no horrible chemicals either on little ones bottom! It smells lovely and natural too.

I also loved that it comes in a small tub that fits snugly in my changing bag - no more tubes leaking or big grey bulky containers taking up more than their fair share of space.

"A Baby Bag Essential"

Bright and easy to open packaging. Love the inner lid which keeps the balm nice and moist. My daughter has quite dry skin and can get irritation from some baby wipes. I used this balm after every nappy change and I am happy to say no more rashes and lovely soft skin. This smells much nicer than other comparable balms/ ointments and goes on well without going all over the baby's clothes, my clothes, my hands etc. I loved the tub which is more practical than a tube.

I also think this product will last longer compared to tube balms/ointments. As an added bonus I have found my hands are now super moisturised. Although it appears to be slightly more expensive than the other brands on the market I do think it will last longer than the others.

My story, or rather our story, starts with your Soothe & Calm Baby Balm…. 

Whilst pregnant last year, I became very conscious to mind not only what I put into my body but also what I put on it and I avoided the use of cosmetics wherever possible*.  This then naturally progressed to a concern over what to put on my child once they were born so towards the end of my pregnancy I took time sourcing products that would be as natural as possible.  One such product was your Soothe and Calm baby balm and it is amazing!  I put it on my son, Noah before he goes to bed. It is also a wonder-cream for my hands (I never realised how much wear and tear hands get once you become a mother!!) – in fact, we have used it for so many different things (even as a barrier cream before gardening!) and it has always lived up to expectations!!

Our love for the S&CBB led me to try your sun protection and, once again, a triumph – great protection and the reassurance that there’s nothing ‘nasty’ being rubbed into my son’s skin.

But our story doesn’t end there as I realised that I go to great lengths to give my son the best but have not been doing the same for myself – so I have recently bought trial sizes of your face care products and am delighted to report that my skin has not felt so ‘looked after’ in a long time!!  I have also, just today, started trying out your Omega 3 & 6 fuel / sprinkles - so I shall report back on how I go with them (after such success elsewhere, expectations are high….!).

Just a little note to say that your Soothe and Calm Baby Balm is the best thing I have ever tried.

My daughter had very bad nappy rash and I had tried every thing and then I remembered that the midwife gave me you product after I had her.

Within a few hours of using it, her skin was a lot less red and sore looking so we are continuing to use it and its healing well and I have ordered two full size tubs.
