LAVENDER BABY WASH AND SHAMPOO
Organic Babies provide a range of skincare products for babies and children that use natural & certified organic and fair trade ingredients. The products range from body wash & shampoo to Salve's and toothpastes, we tested the Lavender Baby Wash & Shampoo.
The packaging for the Baby Wash and Shampoo is something that would definitely catch my attention on the shelf due to the simple design and as it clearly states what is it and does on the front.
Searching the internet for ease of buying, Green People can be found in a leading high street store and a leading online baby store, prices are higher than the usual products found in supermarkets but as not too much is needed with each use and if the organic properties are important for you the extra cost can be justified.
When the product arrived and I saw the wash was a Lavender fragrance I was not too enthusiastic as similar smelling products I have used in the past were quite potent but I was surprised to find the scent to be delicate and pleasant.
The Organic Babies Baby wash & Shampoo is a combined product with I like as it means less products are needed to be stored and also you are not having to fumble with more than one bottle during bathtimes and with a very wriggly 4 month old that’s essential! I was impressed to find the Baby Wash & Shampoo can also be used as a bubble bath so really it's a 3 in 1 product.
The lavender scent is calming and great for just before bed and left my daughter’s skin smelling fresh and not heavily perfumed as some products. It was obviously tasted nice as my daughter was quite happy to lick off her chin and did not mind it being near her eyes when washing it off her head, with the wash containing organic ingredients I was not worried at all about this happening as I knew the product did not contain anything harmful to her.
It washed off very easily and left her skin smooth with no slippery residue which made it easy and safe when picking her up and out of the bath.
I would definitely use this product again and as it lasted longer than expected feel the price was justified. A definite 5/5 from my family!

The Organic Babies Lavender Baby Wash & Shampoo is a natural bath wash and shampoo containing organic aloe vera, chamomile and lavender. It is suitable for washing every part of your baby’s body and is designed to retain natural oils. Green People claim it will last considerably longer than other products.
My first impression of the Organic Babies Baby Wash & Shampoo was a good one. It’s organic and claims to be gentle on baby’s skin (this is something we’re concerned with as Seren (8.5 months) suffers from eczema).
It comes in a tube which is notably different from other baby body washes and shampoos but is much easier to handle. The tube is aesthetically pleasing and the instructions, ingredients and general information is easy to read and substantial.
I started using the Baby Wash & Shampoo the night I received it and not only used it on Seren but Garreth (my 5 year old) also. I was impressed and so was Garreth... Seren, as a typical baby, couldn’t have cared less if I’d bathed her in butter, but still, teamed with her usual eczema cream her skin started to show some notable improvements and even now is clear. With this in mind I’m inclined to say it’s a great product that genuinely is what it claims to be. It also leaves their hair soft and shiny.
The Organic Babies Lavender Baby Wash & Shampoo smells absolutely gorgeous (I love lavender though, so I may have a biased opinion). I have even noticed an improvement in how relaxed the pair of them were after their baths.
Now, onto the claim that it lasts longer... Yes, it does last longer. I use it on a baby and a 5 year old, and I’ve used it every night for over a month and it’s still over half full!
I love the Organic Babies Baby Wash & Shampoo. At £6.75 for 150ml it is worth it even if it’s a tad pricey. I’ll definitely be recommending it to my friends.

I love this range . . . I love what the company stand for and what they are trying to do. It appears initially expensive but everything will last such a long time as only very small amounts need to be used each time.

"Lovely product"
This is a lovely bathtime product for children and toddlers. The smell is very soothing and ideal as part of a calming bedtime routine. The product was gentle on sensitive skin and did not produce lots of unnecessary foam in the bath. Although the product is probably slightly more money than I would usually pay I feel that it offered great value for money as you only need a very small amount each time and it lasted for ages, even with two children.

"Nice smell"
We used this for bedtime bath for all the children. They are 5,3,2 and 3 months, the older 2 commented on the smell while my 2 year old was happy it made 'good bubbles'. It was good to be able to use one product for all 4 children to be bathed in. Knowing the Gel was suitable for sensitive skin and excema was a bonus as the 2 and 3 year old girls suffer from this condition and a lot of scented products can trigger a reaction. After their bath the 3 youngest went to bed and were asleep within 10 minutes so I dont know if the lavender helped to relax them. My wife also used some in her bath and commented that it left her skin feeling soft and found the scent very relaxing. I will be using this Gel again even if it is a little expensive compared to normal bath and shower gel it is great being able to use one tube for all the children and the mrs!!!

"Lovely product"
This is a lovely bath and shower gel with a pleasant aloe aroma. You only need a tiny amount compared to other baby washes so the tube will last a long time. It is organic also which is good as there is nothing that may irritate babys skin. Overall a nice product altough a tad expensive.

“My friend had a baby in January and among other things I bought her son the Baby Wash-Lavender and the 100% organic water free soothing Baby Salve. She rang me about a month later asking where I had purchased the products (told her the website is on the bottles) as she said she has tried a few products on his skin and they all brought him out in red rashes and the Green People skin salve is the only thing that doesn't.......well done and an additional new customer.”

"Looks like a good quality product. It also left Grace’s skin noticeably cleaner and smelling lovely. To start with I did feel I had to apply quite a lot to my hands first and lather it up, otherwise it would disappear in the water. Worked really well and also no tears with this product at bath time. When she came out of the bath her skin was lovely and soft and she smelt yummy! Value for money – if I were to use it just for adding to the warm water then yes, as I did not need to put a lot in to get bubbles.
Really like this product and will certainly continue to use. A lot goes a long way if you just use it in the water. Also no skin irritations, soft and gentle on baby and no tears. I have not used many organic products on my daughter partially due to the cost of them. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable this was. I will continue to use it as it is one of the first bath washes that has not irritated her sensitive skin. Good quality, natural, effective and smells lovely."
Emily Vicary & Baby Grace (8 Months) gave Lavender Baby Wash 5/5
"Looked like a handy sized tube and had a nice lavender smell. The baby wash produced bubbles, but they disappeared quickly making the water feel like it did not have a lot of cleansing power. The baby wash was easy to apply to the bath from the tube. This was certainly tear free as my daughter rubbed her eye when in the bath, without any effects.
After bath time Ellie's skin felt soft and smooth and she smelt lovely. I used a bit more than probably recommended since I felt the bubbles disappeared quickly. Reasonable value for money. This does smell nice and does clean well. This baby wash is nice smelling, but requires more squirted into the bath to get a relly good cleansing feel."
Tracy Walsh & Baby Ellie (6 Months) gave Lavender Baby Wash 4.6/5
"Baby Wash (available in chamomile or lavender – we especially liked the relaxing smell of the latter) can be used both as a shampoo and bath wash, and we also used it as a bubble bath. It’s very mild, contains no horrible Sodium Laureth Sulphate or parabens, is organic, and both varieties smell lovely.
I’m happy to use this as both shampoo and mild soap all over for my sensitive-skinned four-month-old. These products are highly concentrated, so you don’t need to use much. I liked this product so much that I’ve already bought more and will continue to use it."
