TIPS 'Innovative' Award
Winner of the TIPS 'Innovative' Award - product testing review
A multipurpose product, Organic Babies foaming cleanser provides an innovative alternative to baby wipes.
Backed
up by over ten years of research its safe formulation is over 96%
organic, suitable for vegetarians and certified by the Organic Food
Federation. All products in the Organic Babies range are handmade in
small batches using the most natural and organic ingredients. This
makes them ideal for even the most sensitive skin types.
Ideal
for hands, faces, and bottoms, the cleanser can be squirted directly
onto the skin, used with a washable wipe or natural sponge. It is also
great for cleaning highchairs, change-mats and toys.
Testers
loved the light consistency of the foam which was easy to dispense even
with one hand (very handy with a wriggly baby to deal with).
The
even distribution of the foam avoids the need to use product in a
concentrated form. Testers also liked the fact that the cleanser dried
quickly leaving the skin lovely soft and moisturised.
The price
tag is a little high, but a little does go a long way and with so many
uses the Organic Babies foaming cleanser really is a handy addition to
a baby bag. One Tester suggested using washable wipes with plain water
to clean the nappy area and finishing off with a squirt of the foam.
Here are some of the Testers’ comments:
• Knowing the ingredients were pure and free from harmful ingredients
• It is effective without being harsh
• Very easy to use with one hand because of the pump dispenser
• Lovely! Soft, smooth dries quickly and leaves skin soft, no residue
• It didn’t bother his skin and he is prone to nappy rash
• I didn’t think it would work so well on nappy changes so I was very pleased
• Me and my partner used it on our hands and found it very good
• Far and away exceeded my expectations, am impressed with its cleansing powers!
The
Green People Company is known for its green credentials and ethical
trading – they donate 10% of their profits to ‘green’ issues.
All
Testers agreed this is indeed a useful product for babies, toddlers and
children. Its antibacterial properties give added peace of mind.

Bizziebaby Award
Our Organic
Soothe & Calm Baby Balm and
Lavender Baby Wash has been awarded the Bizziebaby Silver award. Achieving a maximum of 90% from all reviewers.
We like this award as it is voted for by mums who test the products on their babiesProduct Tested By Emily Vicary – Baby Grace 8 Months
Emily Awarded The
Organic Babies Baby Wash Lavender 5/5
"Looks like a good quality product. It also left Grace’s skin noticeably cleaner and smelling lovely. Worked really well and also no tears with this product at bath time. When she came out of the bath her skin was lovely and soft and she smelt yummy! Value for money – if I were to use it just for adding to the warm water then yes, as I did not need to put a lot in to get bubbles. Really like this product and will certainly continue to use. Also no skin irritations, soft and gentle on baby and no tears. I have not used many organic products on my daughter partially due to the cost of them. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable this was. I will continue to use it as it is one of the first bath washes that has not irritated her sensitive skin. Good quality, natural, effective and smells lovely."
Product Tested By Tracy Walsh – Baby Maddison 6 Months
Tracy Awarded The
Green People Soothe & Calm Baby Balm 5/5
"Handy sized container, which makes it greet to throw into a travel bag. It has a distinct chamomile smell to it – which some people may not like. The labeling was very clear, and easy to read. The description of the product was very appealing for use on baby's delicate skin. The cream was very easily spread, although not much is needed as a little goes a long way. The cream rubbed into the skin well without excess rubbing. Initially it felt oily, but quickly soaks in to leave a barrier effect which can be felt. We mainly used the cream to prevent nappy rash, and has so far been very effective. My daughter developed a slight rash or bites on the side of one hip, under the nappy tape. I used the cream on this and the rash/bites disappeared in a couple of days, with no irritation to my daughter. Perfect size to keep in your nappy bag, and ideal for home use. Definite value for money as a little cream goes a long way, so one pot will last for ages. A cream that does what it says, as well as providing an effective skin barrier for baby's bottoms. Also natural."

Mum & Baby Moisturiser Lavender
- Highly Commended
"Manufactured using the finest natural ingredients, this range prides
itself on being free from lanolin, parabens, SLS, SLES and artificial
fragrances. This moisturiser was easy to apply, well absorbed and
seemed to help soothe dry skin conditions. The Green People Company is
ethically responsible with 10% of their profits being donated to
‘green’ issues"
Lavender Baby Wash and Shampoo
- Highly Commended
"Testers found this wash easy to use, loved its delicate fragrance and even found a new use for it as a facial for mum! Manufactured using the safest ingredients by a company known for its ecological and ethical business credentials, this is a product well worth a try."
Nappy Cream Baby Balm
- Highly Commended
"This organic nappy cream really works and is totally safe for the most
delicate bottom. This lovely balm is a wonderful consistency and goes
on easily. It treated red bottoms within a few applications. Green
People pride themselves on being environmentally responsible and
providing excellent information in line with the latest advice on safe
skincare for babies."
Baby Salve
- Highly Commended
"This organic nappy salve, like its partner ‘Soothe & calm baby
balm’ was well liked by testers. Totally natural in origin this was
easy to use with a lovely consistency. Green People are ethically
responsible and environmentally conscious. This expertise is now backed
up by more than 10 years of research into safe skincare."
Chamomile Baby Wash and Shampoo
- Commended
"Universally praised by parent testers, this was easy to use, lathered
well (without strong detergents) and was safe for even the most
sensitive skin types. Manufactured using the safest ingredients by a
company known for its ecological and ethical business credentials, this
is a product well worth a try."
Children's Spearmint & Aloe Vera Toothpaste
- Best Eco Friendly Toothpaste
"Like its sister product, the mandarin toothpaste, this is a great
alternative to regular toothpastes and ideal for children to use. It
comes with the expertise of an excellent company who are dedicated to
safe and environmentally friendly products. This toothpaste is easy to
use, tastes good and is free from fluoride and all foaming agents."
Children's Mandarin Toothpaste
- Best Eco Friendly Toothpaste
"The packaging is informative but clever enough to catch a child’s
attention. The two flavours in this range are not too sweet and the
consistency, whilst not being too frothy, does coat the teeth well,
leaving them clean and fresh.
As long as there is still debate over the
safety of fluoride in domestic water supplies, it is great to have the
option of using non-fluoride toothpastes for young children so there is
no worry over swallowing too much product. A little goes a long way so
the price is value for money."

Mum & Working
Green People are the Testers’ Choice in Natural Products head-to-head.Green People’s natural and organic
Children’s Bath/Shower Wash in Lavender was selected for review by www.mumandworking.co.uk and came out tops as the testers favourite against Neal’s Yard and Maclaren.
The
Mum & Working website regularly reviews products and services for both children and mothers. The reviewers look at all aspects of the product including its ease of use, packaging, suitability, effectiveness and value for money.
Children's Bath & Shower Gel - Lavender
- Testers' Choice
One tester's comments included:
"The packaging is clear and informative, although it is plastic the
recycling symbols are present and the product is very concentrated so
the pack is smaller. Plastic is also safe to leave by the bath.
This is a very good product, it produced a good
bath with enough bubbles for me to feel nostalgic and leaves my
daughter clean and smelling gorgeous. The fragrance is lovely, clean
and fresh but not too strong. It is concentrated and works, a little
goes a long way and we have lots left at the end of the month. I have
previously bought a shampoo from Green People which lasted for 5
months!
It can be used as a bath product, shower gel and put onto a
wash cloth and used like a liquid wash or soap. It dealt with any test
my toddler threw at it this month; it removed biro and indelible
marker, paint, food, a thick coat of vaseline, and glue. I would
recommend it and will continue to buy it. It is a brilliant product
that I wouldn't be without.
In terms for value for money it competes
well because the product is concentrated and must be compared to buying
over nearly a litre of bubble bath. I would recommend parents to try
it."
