Your baby can be made more comfortable by loosening or removing any clothing covering the scalp.

Rub a little olive oil or Green People's Baby Salve, which is rich in olive oil and hemp, into the baby's scalp before bed time. Comb the hair with a fine-toothed comb in the morning.

When the scales have been removed, wash the baby's hair with a mild baby shampoo or wash. Green People recommend Organic Baby Wash - Chamomile or Organic Baby Wash - Lavender.

Avoid shampoos, washes, soap and bubble baths which contain Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS). Its caustic cleansing properties can irritate sensitive skins.

Green People's baby products are free from Parabens, SLS, Petrochemicals, artificial fragrances and Lanolin. They are also recommended by Midwives.

If this treatment does not work, consult your doctor for advice. Most babies out grow cradle cap by 8-12 months old.
